Short walk from the Wallace Memorial Welcome Center, stopped for biobreak and quick pint. Frankly, most visitors to the Memorial would probably like the pub more than the Memorial. Lots of cool Knick knacks associated with Wallace, and my beloved Guinness on Tap.
Couple of cheerful locals at the bar, and helpful, friendly bartender -

This is a brilliant wee pub.
They do open mic nights and attract a great, regular crowd of people who can actually sing and play.
The staff are absolutely lovely and the atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. It's a little out of the way but close the the university and many B&B's. Worth a visit if you're in the area!
